Casa Adella
The lovely Casa Adella was built in 1923, which means we are celebrating the home’s 100th birthday!
Step through the front gate into a lovely garden filled with succulents and native plants, a bubbling stone fountain attracting birds galore. The home is owned by an artist and landscape architect, both lovers of color and art, which show throughout the inside and outside of the home. Meticulously restored in 2005 to reflect its heritage, and updated to accommodate today’s lifestyle, it is easy to slip into the old world calm and comfort offered by Casa Adella. A graceful entrance with a 2-step-down living area is framed by glorious arched wood framed doorways and trim. Original lighting mixed with custom fixtures designed by the owners create old world ambience. Meander through the French Doors to the equally delightful private backyard where mature pine trees frame the overlook to Glorietta Bay. Delight in indoor-outdoor living San Diego offers. Grab a book or binoculars to relax in the peaceful paradise you find at Casa Adella. Later, take a stroll down the block in one direction to the world famous Hotel del Coronado. Scents from local restaurants waif through the air, making it a hard choice of where to eat dinner. The sea air charges everything with electricity. Night brings crashing wave sounds from the beach or salty scents if fog is nearby. Take a morning walk by the bay to witness birds fishing for breakfast, lazy mornings for those living on sailboats, dogs and children running on the docks. Return to the peaceful gardens and dwelling you call home. It’s another beautiful day in Coronado!
Large, private and peaceful grounds surround the property, perfect for nature lovers and bird enthusiasts as the garden attracts hummingbirds and song birds, blue herons, and ospreys circling above.
